On the 22nd Feb myself, Sam Turff and Louisa Clements hired out the white project space to explore ideas.
I brought my recent works exploring the negative space of the RSG and placed them in the light trace going across the wall. Then sam got her videos set up and i placed her mini RSG in front of the projector to create the hexagon shape and placed my wall piece in the frame.
I really enjoy the the neon wire I used to secure the piece to the wall - thinking about the electrical wires found in the rooms.
Controlling the light
Using the blinds to create these beams which stretch across the room, creating these compositions to play with.
Left image - I was capturing the light movement at the beginning of the day - white paper representing the light - wanting to merge the wall and floor together.
Middle and Right Image- With Sam's projections and mini RSG beam, my hexagon pieces, tape and paper fitting in the light beams.
Close ups of wood pieces fitting the light beams, tape marking previous light source - colour of tape representing the electrical wire found in the room.
Louisa's Concrete setting in the corner.
The colour compositions created in the room from the room (red white black grey).
